The Detroit Public Library Foundation joins and stands in solidarity with the many voices across the country who have expressed anger and calls for justice. We are raising our voice to amplify those who have been silenced.

We will continue committing our resources to the fight for equality in access to education and literacy in all forms. We acknowledge this is a marathon and will require more than a show of virtual solidarity. We are dedicated to continuing to stand in the name of unity.

We will continue to put in place  practices that reflect an understanding of the need for voices within our organization of diversity within leadership. We will continue to serve our communities to further historical change.
